JAKARTA, WartaONE.co.id - Government policies are really directed at dealing with Covid-19 and for saving the economy.
This was stated by the Minister of National Development Planning in NewCast CNN Indonesia TV, Friday (06/08/2021).
"Budget refocusing, social assistance policies, wage subsidies, and other programs are appropriate and well implemented," said the Minister.
The Minister considered that the most important thing is the implementation of the programs that have been planned.
"The National Economic Recovery Program which was budgeted at Rp 744.75 trillion, until July 30 2021, the realization has reached Rp 305.50 trillion or 41.0% of the total ceiling," said the Minister.
In the interview, the Minister also explained the government's strategy to make Indonesia’s economy grow high in the third and fourth quarters.
First, accelerating the realization of the budget of the central government and regional governments in the third quarter to fourth quarter of 2021, without extending budget administration.
Second, accelerate the realization of government infrastructure development in the third and fourth quarters, to create domestic demand, trigger production in other related sectors and create jobs.
Third, accelerating the handling of Covid-19, especially decreasing cases and accelerating vaccines.
"This is important to be able to immediately increase the confidence of the public and investors," said the Minister.
Fourth, maintain accommodative fiscal and monetary policies, in the second semester of 2021.
